Click Here for the minutes of the meeting held on the 1st Nov at BHASVIC (as pdf). I would have put them in the body of this text but Donna has formatted them so beautifully that it would be a shame to lose that. But as a very quick summary, and as a precursor to next week’s meeting:
The meeting will be at the Crew Club, as usual 5:30 for prompt 6:00 start.
In order to prevent the meeting going on longer than needed, we will try and get progress reports put here on the blog in advance.
There are 2 new projects bubbling into existence. The first is a collaboration between Judith Good at Sussex Uni, Ian Cunningham at the Self-Managed Learning College (SMLC) and DEB. The aim will be to teach students at the College a course in computing. This will be done by degree students at Sussex and they will look to use Alice, Scratch and Flip alone or in combination. Results will be available to the group and wider – input and help by the group welcomed.
The second new project is centred around 6th form A level computer science students at Blatchington Mill with Darren Kelly and will be centred around the location-based game that I have been working on – DetectOSaurus – digging up a dinosaur.
Ian will be speaking about the SMLC.
